This May 7th, the legendary moderator will be stepping into Cathy Hummels’ shoes, as the candidates duke it out for a chance to win the title of "Realitystar 2023."

Interview with the Iconic Moderator

With her extensive experience handling turbulent situations, Kiesbauer is perfectly suited for the role. In an exclusive interview with spot on news, she shared her thoughts on the new gig and what fans can expect:

On the allure of "Battle of the Reality Stars"...

A: I loved the format, and I knew right away that I was in! It’s crucial for both the reality stars and the audience that they entertain and generate airtime.

On missing the drama in her life...

K: I’m already a bit of a drama queen, and with my teenage kids at home, we have plenty of that already! But I'm definitely someone who likes to ask questions and dig deeper.

On family time during the shoot...

K: It was actually quite pleasant due to the turbulence at home during puberty, but three and a half weeks without family is a long time. I really missed my kids.

On privacy during the shoot...

K: I wasn't allowed to post anything about the show on social media, so it seemed like I was just on vacation for three and a half weeks.

On enjoying the "Battle of the Reality Stars"...

K: I'm a big reality TV fan and love the games because they're so creative. I watch a lot of TV, and I love the conversations in "Battle."

On differences with Cathy Hummels...

A: I’m a different type, and I've definitely expanded the talks in the "Hour of Truth." I'm curious and will ask very specifically if I want to know something.

On facing criticism...

A: I'm very relaxed about it. I've been doing this for 40 years and know I can handle it.

On any reality world challenge...

A: The talk show was an incredible school because I always had to react to what was happening, even during live broadcasts. But even on the shoot, I would still be thrown off sometimes by unexpected situations.

On balancing entertainment and empathy...

A: Certain rules must be obeyed in the context of a refined but intense conversation culture. I'm here to enforce them.

On which contestant would have made it to "Arabella"...

A: Definitely Can Kaplan. He's a big flirt, and anything about his dramatic relationship with his ex-girlfriend would fit perfectly.

On Can Kaplan...

A: His reputation as a playboy will surely come into play, as he reconnects with old flames and rivals.

On Daymian Weiß...

A: Known for his soap opera family, Daymian adds fuel to the drama and sets the stage for explosive confrontations.

On Anouschka Renzi...

A: Her rivalry with Linda Nobat from previous reality shows is expected to flare up, adding to the drama.

On the rest of the contestants...

A: The show features a unique mix of actors, athletes, and reality personalities, all competing for a prize and the title of "Realitystar 2023."
