April Performances Held at Chancellor's Residence by Student Performers
In an exciting development, saxophonist Matthew Lombard has been confirmed as a new participant in the upcoming recital series at the Chancellor's residence.
The recital series, which took place on April 4th, is not limited to a single day and will continue through May. Mezzo soprano Meagan Martin and Douglas Sume, an accompanist in the series, were among the performers on the 4th.
However, it appears that Douglas Sume will not be participating in the recital on any May dates. Recitals beyond April 5th are expected to continue, but the specific details for May 2025, including the performers and schedule, are not currently available.
For those interested in the upcoming performances, it would be best to contact the Chancellor's office or the hosting university’s music or events department directly. Publicly available calendars and announcements do not provide this data at present.
Mrs. Block, who organises the annual recital series, has shared photos from the event. In these photos, Matthew Lombard can be seen alongside Mrs. Block, but it's important to note that contrary to some assumptions, Matthew Lombard is not an accompanist.
The recital series at the Chancellor's residence involves a mezzo soprano and an accompanist, with Meagan Martin being one of the performers. The exact role Matthew Lombard will play in the future recitals remains to be seen.
Stay tuned for more updates on the recital series at the Chancellor's residence and the participation of Matthew Lombard.
