Get ready, Dresden! The City Biathlon is gunning for a 2024 showdown, and the city's Sports Committee just gave it the go-ahead. With a whopping 300,000 euros in city support, this event is shaping up to be a big deal for the city. The anticipated TV broadcast will rake in an advertising bonanza for good measure.

On September 15, 2024, our roller-skiing titans will traverse a 2.2-kilometer course, with the new Steiger Stadium acting as the start and finish line. The stadium, currently undergoing a facelift to transform into a multi-purpose arena, ought to be ready in time for the big day.

But the organizers still require formal approval for Dresden as the venue. The cards are stacked in our favor, though, as the event moves from Wiesbaden, Hesse, to a federal support point – Altenberg – which fits the bill perfectly.
