Hey there! Here's a heads up on the current weather situation in Germany, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).

Prepare for Severe Weather

June starts off stormy for some parts of Germany. The cold front of a low west of Norway is moving in slowly from the northwest, bringing milder air. However, in the south, it's still warm and humid, causing thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. In the south and Saxony, expect locally heavy rain of up to 15 liters per square meter in an hour.

Expect Small Hail and Gusts up to 70 km/h

As the day progresses, DWD anticipates prominent thunderstorms in the south, parts of the east, and the southern center. Prepare for heavy rain with amounts of up to 20 liters per square meter within a short time, small hail, and gusts up to 70 km/h (Bft 8 to 9). In the south, local severe weather due to heavy rain of up to 30 liters per square meter, larger hail, and gusts up to 80 km/h (Bft 9) are even possible. The north may see brief thunderstorms with small hail and gusts up to 65 km/h (Bft 8).

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the east and north. It will mostly stay dry elsewhere, with highest temperatures in the northwest at 17 to 20 degrees, and 21 to 24 degrees elsewhere. wind will be light to moderate, coming from the west to northwest.
