The COMPRESSPORT Youth Trail Team: Empowering the Next Generation of Trail Runners
The COMPRESSPORT Youth Trail Team, a new initiative aimed at supporting young trail runners, is now accepting applications. This program, part of COMPRESSPORT's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, is a commitment to fostering the next generation with a focus on education, inclusion, and diversity.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must be aged 16 to 21, born between January 2004 and December 2009. They must also be residents of France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Italy, or the United Kingdom. A demonstrated commitment to trail running, competitive experience, and a clear passion for the sport are essential.
Selection Process
The evaluation panel for the COMPRESSPORT Youth Trail Team will consider both athletic and personal characteristics. Selected athletes will be contacted between January 27 and 31, 2025.
Support and Guidance
The selected athletes will receive support and guidance from COMPRESSPORT trail athletes, as well as digital communication training provided by Bénédicte Perron. Arnaud Menetrier will oversee sports performance tests and training advice for the team.
Carla Ryan will lead the team as the Athlete Manager, while Jasmin Frank will conduct product workshops to enhance the athletes' understanding of COMPRESSPORT's technical gear. The athletes will also have the opportunity to participate in these workshops.
Benefits
The benefits for selected athletes include receiving COMPRESSPORT gear such as compression socks, arm warmers, and other trail running apparel and accessories designed to aid performance and recovery. They will also gain exposure through team representation at races and meet-ups with renowned trail runners like Aurélien Dunand-Pallaz and Rosa Lara Feliu.
Equipment and Support
COMPRESSPORT will provide the team athletes with equipment for a period of 12 months. However, it does not appear that the team offers any digital communication training or product workshops during this initial 12-month period.
