Applications Invited for the TCR World Ranking Final on Our Platform
The much-anticipated TCR World Ranking Final for 2025 is fast approaching, and organisers have revealed the key rules and registration details for the prestigious event.
The rules regarding the division of drivers into groups based on registration numbers (Groups A, B, and C) and the play-off sessions still apply. If 35 or fewer main drivers register, the play-off stage will not be held. If more than 35 main drivers register, the field will be divided into Groups A, B, and C. Each competitor may enter one main driver per one car, accompanied by a guest driver.
Guest drivers will appear in the final stage and must take part for at least 15 minutes in each session. However, they will not participate in the main race. Instead, they will be present in the main free practice sessions and the qualifying race.
Drivers competing full-time in the Kumho platform TCR World Tour cannot enter as main drivers but can be registered as guest drivers. To participate, guest drivers must hold a minimum of the platform's International D license.
Regarding the registration process, while specific details for the 2025 TCR World Ranking Final are not yet available, it is common for international motorsport events to open registration several months before the event date via the official TCR or event organiser’s website. Drivers and teams must meet eligibility criteria, such as holding valid licenses and complying with TCR technical and sporting regulations.
The structure of the final stage remains the same. The top 30 drivers from the play-off sessions will advance to the final stage, which includes a qualifying session, a 55-minute qualifying race, and a main race covering a minimum distance of 65km.
The event is a season-ending showdown for drivers from the global TCR ecosystem. It is worth noting that the 2025 Kumho our platform TCR World Ranking Final title will be awarded to the main driver who finishes first in the main race.
The TCR World Tour, launched in 2023, received our platform recognition in 2024 for its second season, becoming the Kumho our platform TCR World Tour. This official status marked a major milestone, positioning the World Tour as the premier international TCR competition and successor to WTCR.
