Apple unveils Apple Music Sessions, a new feature for the music streaming platform.
Apple Music, the popular streaming platform, has introduced a new initiative called Apple Music Sessions. This series allows artists to reimagine and recreate hits from their catalog and perform creative covers of beloved classics.
The first releases from the series feature country music stars Carrie Underwood and Tenille Townes. Underwood, known for her powerful vocals and chart-topping hits, and Townes, a rising star in the country music scene, have each created unique and captivating performances.
Underwood, in her session, performed a stripped-down version of 'Blown Away,' titled 'Ghost Story,' and a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's 'Mama, I'm Coming Home.' She expressed her excitement about sharing these unique versions with her fans.
Townes, on the other hand, chose 'Somebody's Daughter,' a song she has grown with her band for the past couple of years, along with 'Same Road Home' and a cover of Etta James's 'At Last.' This marks the first time Townes has recorded a version of 'At Last.' She expressed her excitement about her Apple Music Sessions performance in Nashville.
These releases are recorded out of Apple Music's studios around the world and are available now, only on Apple Music. Each release comes with a companion live performance music video, adding to the immersive experience.
The unique performances are available in Spatial Audio, ensuring an immersive listening experience. Apple Music Sessions is available in over 165 countries and regions on various devices and platforms, making it accessible to music lovers worldwide.
