Apple Original Films & Chernin Team Up for Action Film 'Five Secrets'
Apple Original Films and Chernin Entertainment are teaming up to develop 'Five Secrets', an action-packed film based on Julianna Baggott's original short story. The project has gained buzz and caught the attention of both companies, with Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin and David Ready set to produce.
Julianna Baggott, a renowned novelist, essayist, poet, and associate professor at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts, penned the original short story that sparked the film's creation. The plot revolves around a mercenary who trades in secrets and must unravel his former mentor's secret to survive.
Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, known for their work on Marvel's 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' and 'Transformers One', have been tapped to write the screenplay. Banks Tarver, who has directed episodes of 'The Good Fight' and 'Billions', will helm the project. 'Five Secrets' marks one of the first features under Chernin Entertainment's Apple TV+ deal, which was preemptively acquired after the script started circulating.
With a compelling plot and talented team behind it, 'Five Secrets' is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Apple TV+'s slate. Production details and release dates are yet to be announced.
