Apple is set to revolutionise the way fans enjoy baseball with the introduction of "Friday Night Baseball" on Apple TV+, starting from April 8. The new 24/7 live programming will offer a modern and dynamic experience, complete with innovative graphics, state-of-the-art cameras, and immersive sound.

The first game of the season will feature the Houston Astros against the Los Angeles Angels, with Melanie Newman, Chris Young, Hannah Keyser, and Brooke Fletcher commentating. For the second game, fans can look forward to Stephen Nelson, Hunter Pence, Katie Nolan, and Heidi Watney.

In a unique twist, former MLB umpire Brian Gorman will provide rules analysis and interpretation, while Siri will help with baseball trivia during the broadcasts. To add to the excitement, on-screen callouts about batters' walk-up songs from Apple Music will be featured, with exclusive playlists available each week.

Fans can easily tap to watch "Friday Night Baseball" directly in the Apple TV app, and the games will be available across devices where Apple TV+ can be found, including smart TVs, gaming consoles, and cable set-top boxes. For a limited time, "Friday Night Baseball" will be available without a subscription.

In addition to the live games, fans can follow their favourite teams and watch personalised MLB highlights in the News app. Each Friday, a curated group of highlights and stories from around the league will be available. Apple News editors have also curated an Opening Day preview for fans.

"Friday Night Baseball" will be available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. To enhance the experience further, innovative new graphics, including probabilities-based forecasts, will be used in the broadcast.

A collection of classic baseball songs is also available on Apple Music for fans to enjoy. The Apple TV app is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and HD, and on tv.our website.

In a nod to the rich history of baseball, Lauren Gardner will host live pre- and postgame coverage. This is sure to add a touch of tradition to the modern experience that "Friday Night Baseball" promises to deliver.
