Second Attempt - Question for Answer in the City Council

What's the Damage? Costs arising from Ingolstadt's Preemptive Mayoral Election

Yo Mayor Doc Scharpf, the FREE WILL city council gang, on behalf of many citizens of Ingolstadt, are demandin' answers on the costs that the city's pocketed due to the early mayoral election in 2025...or still gonna pocket.

Why Bother?

In numerous yarns - at the local boozer, in clubs, at familial do's, at election hustlin' booths, and other get-togethers - the question's been poppin' up: "What's hit the city's wallet due to the early, standalone mayoral election in 2025?"

Simple, honest replies ain't come easy, and your initial answer was way off base. Staff costs for the administration weren't included, neither were work hours and vacay pay for other city employees, nor services from city subsidiaries, election helpers, per diems, pollin' station setup and tear-down, and so on.

The figure of 170k € tossed about seems all wrong and incomplete. Who dreamt this number up, eh?

Gimme the good stuff: a thorough breakdown of expenses, including responsible departments.

To set things straight for the citizens, we're askin' for a complete answer and a list of the major cost contributors who've waltzed into the city's scene and its subsidiaries. Examples include direct and indirect personnel costs, staff release, postage and printin', administrative and organizational fees, election helper acquisition, training, and reimbursement, overtime, vacay comp, per diems, and more.

Cause of easier admin, we ain't askin' for a detailed itemization. But we can't accept omissions of essential components, so expect improvements in your response.

Since the press has already pointed out the previous response's holes, I reckon it'd be in the city's best interest to provide comprehensive answers this time around.

Decent regards,

Hans Stachel, Faction Chief
