Appeal for Financial Contributions Valued up to 40,000 Euros
The Rotary Club Mainz-Churmeyntz has announced that proceeds from their upcoming 9th Churmeyntz-Cup, scheduled for 4th September 2026, will be used to fund local projects aimed at strengthening children and young people for their future.
Since 2018, over 300,000 euros have been collected through the Churmeyntz-Cup, with several facilities in the past benefiting from this initiative. Notable recipients include the Mainz foundation Juvente and the Hildegard House, which used their donations to buy a minibus for a children's group home and finance a new playground respectively.
In the spirit of continued support, the Rotary Club is now seeking a new project for funding. The total volume of the project should be between 30,000 and 40,000 euros. Institutions interested in applying must be established, recognised as non-profit, and have trained specialists. They must also ensure that their project benefits disadvantaged children and young people from Mainz and the surrounding area.
The deadline for project submissions is 12th December 2025. Interested institutions are encouraged to submit their projects for consideration by post or email. Further information about the application process and the application form can be requested by email at [email protected].
The Rotary Club Mainz-Churmeyntz has a history of making a difference in the lives of children in the community. In 2023, the Hildegard House used their donation to finance a new playground, while the Mainz foundation Juvente used theirs to buy a minibus for a children's group home. Despite no new information about previously funded institutions being provided in the current paragraph, it is clear that the Rotary Club continues to make a significant impact.
The funds for this initiative come from the Churmeyntz-Cup, an annual golf tournament organised by the service club. The collected funds are intended to help organisations strengthen children and young people for their future, providing opportunities and resources that may otherwise be unavailable.
As the deadline for project submissions approaches, local organisations are invited to apply for funding. The Rotary Club Mainz-Churmeyntz looks forward to continuing their tradition of supporting the community's children and young people.
