German Recipients Appear to Receive Emails From Elon Musk - Apparent Spending of Elon Musk's Fortune Lands on German Entities

Every other day, a wave of job cuts sweeps across U.S. federal agencies, with Elon Musk orchestrating these layoffs. Assigned by President Donald Trump to streamline the government via the Doge (Department of Government Efficiency) efficiency program, Musk is the piece of the puzzle propelling the dismissals.

Initially, the nationwide job cuts appeared to target only American citizens. However, the German-based employees of the U.S. have now become victims of the red tide. A statement from Verdi, the union representing these workers, indicates that they could face the chopping block as well.

Many of these employees serve the U.S. military troops stationed within Germany. Approximately 12,000 civilian workers make up this corps, as per Verdi. Some of these employees have received intimidating emails from their employers, requesting them to outline their tasks in detail.

In these emails, the employees were asked to summarize the five tasks they performed during the previous week, as noted by Verdi union secretary Susanne Schäfer to the "Saarbrücken Zeitung." According to the terms of the email, those who fail to comply with the request may face termination.

US employees had already received such emails before their dismissals, allegedly sent to around two million individuals. Verdi was caught off-guard by the emails being distributed to German civilian employees, as Schäfer stated: "We were promised during ongoing wage negotiations that such a request would not be sent to German civilian employees." The union is currently assessing the legality of this situation, shared Schäfer with the "Saarbrücken Zeitung."

At present, Verdi is embroiled in a dispute with the U.S. military in Rhineland-Palatinate, demanding better wages for the German employees. According to Schäfer, they are currently paid little more than the German minimum wage.
