Anwanden's New 'VOLL STOFF!' Festival Brings Art and Music to Rural Bavaria
Cultural Association Kulturpalast Anwanden Invites Visitors to Four-Day "VOLL STOFF!" Festival
From June 11 to 14, the Kulturpalast Anwanden association is hosting a four-day festival on the grounds of Gut Wolfgangshof. Under the banner "VOLL STOFF!" ("FULL OF STUFF!"), the volunteer organizers present a vibrant mix of music, live performances, and visual art. With this event, the association makes a statement in support of preserving live cultural experiences beyond major urban centers. The organizers emphasize their commitment to countering the globalization of culture and the growing tendency to retreat into private spaces.
The program features both regional and nationally recognized artists. Musical and cabaret entertainment will be provided by the likes of Hannes Ringlstetter, Rainald Grebe, and Matthias Egersdörfer. Audiences can also look forward to performances by Mago Masin, Loisach Marci, the brass quintet Harmonic Brass, and the comedy duo Zärtlichkeiten mit Freunden (Tenderness with Friends).
At the same time, the historic estate will transform into a sprawling art gallery. A companion exhibition showcases contemporary works by numerous artists, including Nandor Angstenberger, Linda Männel, Barbara Engelhard, Jochen Flinzer, and many others. The organizers note that both the exhibition and the culinary offerings can be enjoyed free of charge.
The venue itself boasts a long cultural tradition. For a quarter of a century, Kulturpalast Anwanden has championed rural arts. What began in a simple barn has grown into an institution that has welcomed artists such as Stephan Eicher, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, and Nessi Tausendschön. To complement its larger festivals, the association launched the Kultur-Wohnzimmer T7 (Cultural Living Room T7) in Anwanden's fire station in 2024, creating a space for smaller, experimental formats.
For easy access, the organizers highlight the venue's public transport connections. The S4 line takes visitors from Nuremberg Central Station to Anwanden in just under 13 minutes, with trains running approximately every 20 minutes well into the evening.
