In an exciting turn of events, renowned stage performer Aisata Blackman will be taking on the role of Killer Queen in the upcoming production of "We Will Rock You" at the Stage Palladium Theater in Stuttgart. This musical, a fusion of the iconic music of Queen and a dystopian narrative, is set to return to the city after a 15-year absence.

Aisata Blackman, who gained recognition for her captivating performance as Tina Turner and her role as Rachel Marron based on Whitney Houston, finds the role of Killer Queen particularly appealing due to its contrast with her previous roles. The Killer Queen, a ruthless and powerful antagonist, is a dictator-like figure controlling a global empire, dictating the style of music allowed—soulless electronic music without dissent.

Despite being a villainous character, the Killer Queen is also depicted as witty and humorous, adding a layer of complexity to her role. Blackman expressed her excitement about exploring this new perspective as an antagonist, a departure from her usual roles as positive characters like Deloris Van Cartier in "Sister Act" or Tina Turner in a tribute show.

The musical, which takes place 50 years into the future where individuality is suppressed and rock music is forgotten, will be performed at the Stage Palladium Theater starting in the fall of 2025. Aisata Blackman, who has lived in Stuttgart for seven years, won't have to move for her new role, as she has signed a contract to play Killer Queen eight times a week in her hometown.

Blackman's performances have always been a crowd-pleaser, making her a safe bet for Stage Entertainment. Her successful career began as a singer in a pop and soul band and continued with appearances in Dutch talent shows on TV. She worked for 13 years at Amsterdam's airport for KLM's ground staff before making a successful transition to stage performance.

The new production of "We Will Rock You" was last performed in London, entertaining over 16 million people. Tickets for Blackman's performances are expected to sell well, given her previous successes.

Aisata Blackman's career has been a testament to her versatility and talent. From her days as a singer in a pop and soul band to her current role as Killer Queen, Blackman continues to captivate audiences with her energy and charisma. The return of "We Will Rock You" to Stuttgart promises to be an unforgettable event, with Blackman's performance as Killer Queen at the heart of the production.

Apart from her captivating performances in musicals like "Sister Act" and the Tina Turner tribute show, Aisata Blackman is set to delve into the world of books, as she has expressed her eager anticipation to immerse herself in the script of "We Will Rock You." Intriguingly, the music she will be entertaining audiences with, a blend of Queen's iconic tunes and a dystopian narrative, isreminiscent of her past experiences as a singer in a pop and soul band.
