Anticipation Builds for San Diego Comic-Con 2025!
The highly-anticipated San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), also known as Comic-Con International, is set to take place from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27, 2025, in downtown San Diego. This four-day extravaganza promises a comprehensive pop culture experience, attracting fans from across the United States and other countries.
One of the key events at SDCC 2025 is the Her Universe Fashion Show. Scheduled for Thursday, July 24, from 10:00am to 11:00am PDT, this fashion show will take place in the Shiley Special Events Suite. Hosted by Ashley Eckstein, the actress and founder of Her Universe, and Broadway star Michael James Scott, the show will showcase the latest geek clothing and merchandise for the upcoming season. The event offers stylish apparel for cosplay or casual wear, with designs encouraged to defy gravity and base on Universal Pictures franchises and DreamWorks Animation franchises.
The 2025 Her Universe Fashion Show will be themed after the musical Wicked, and Wicked star Marissa Bode will be one of the judges. Fans are encouraged to arrive as early as 5 PM to secure their seats. The show will start at 6 PM PST in the Seaport Ballroom at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
In addition to the fashion show, SDCC 2025 features a variety of panels discussing comics, TV, movies, and more. For instance, the "Asian Representation in Comics and Media" panel on Thursday, July 24, at 7:00pm, will see actors and creators discussing AAPI representation in the industry.
SDCC 2025 also offers immersive fan experiences like the Doctor Who Black Archive and Peacemaker Peacefest. Major fan activations and exclusive product launches from companies like Funko and Mattel are also part of the event.

Voltron: Legendary Defender fans will be excited to know that the series will return to SDCC with exclusive merchandise. Last summer at SDCC, the first episode of season four of Voltron: Legendary Defender was shown during the panel.
WEBTOON, a prominent player in the comic world, will be returning to SDCC to host three informational panels. Webcomic readers will have the opportunity to meet popular authors.
For those unable to attend in person, IGN and San Diego Comic-Con have announced an exclusive collaboration for Comic-Con@Home on IGN Live, taking place from July 22nd to 26th.
