Anticipating the Offerings of Summer Game Fest 2025: Expected Reveals from Each of the 20 Notable Publishers Present

Summer Game Fest 2025 is droppin' soon, peeps! This year's gaming extravaganza starts on June 6 and you can bet your ass it's gonna be sweatin' with the hottest news, trailers, and reveals! Since ol' E3 went the way of the dodo, SGF has taken its place as the colossal event of the summer, showcasing updates and announcements from heavyweights like Xbox, Steam, PlayStation, and Nintendo.

Here's the lowdown on which games and publishers we're eager to see:

2K

We're gonna get our wrestling fix with an update on WWE 2K25, plus we're prayin' to the looter gods for some fresh Borderlands 4 details. Mafia: The Old Country is set to drop on August 8, and lemme tell ya, we can't wait to get our hands on that single-player story experience. And, hey, maybe we'll finally hear something about BioShock 4. Crossin' our fingers on that one.

505 Games

Their current catalog is lookin' mighty fine, but we're especially stoked for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a soulslike game inspired by Chinese mythology. It's shaping up to be a real treat, so keep an eye out for more info on this bad boy.

Bandai Namco

Little Nightmares 3 and Digimon Story: Time Stranger are both arrivin' in 2025, and we expect to hear somethin' about 'em at this year's SGF. The Blood of Dawnwalker is a new RPG that's been on our radar since it was announced in January, so it's possible we'll see some gameplay or maybe even a release date.

Blumhouse Games

These horror aficionados are cookin' up five games, and we're hopin' to catch a peek at Grave Seasons, a farming life sim with a twisted killer twist. We'll likely catch updates on their other horror titles like Project C during the PC Gaming Show.

Capcom

Capcom's involvement in SGF is a given, and we're hopin' to see updates on Resident Evil 9. With some realism in mind, we expect to see more of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, an upcoming entry in the samurai Onimusha series. Given the Nintendo Switch 2's launch, we might get a glimpse of Street Fighter 6, too.

CD Projekt

The Witcher 4 is the game everyone's talkin' about, and we got our first trailer during Game Awards 2024. CD Projekt Red's teaming up with Unreal to bring more info on the game at the State of Unreal event, while we're still waitin' on a release window for Cyberpunk 2077: Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.

Devolver Digital

Devolver Digital's got a bunch of games in the hopper, and we're anticipatin' Enter the Gungeon 2, a new Switch 2 game, and updates on Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions. Of course, these deviants are known for their wild curveballs, so don't be surprised if they break out somethin' totally unexpected.

Dotemu

This partner is a bit smaller, but we're lookin' forward to the Marvel Cosmic Invasion and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. We'll likely see both of these titles, possibly with release dates in hand. Whatever it is, expect pixelated beat 'em action from our ninja and superhero friends.

IO Interactive

007: First Light, based on Project 007, is gettin' its full reveal this year, and we can't wait to see how IO Interactive tackles the good guy spy. Hitman World of Assassination is also seein' updates, and fingers crossed it makes its way to the Switch 2.

Mundfish

We're curious about Atomic Heart, but Mundfish Powerhouse, their new publishing arm, is what we're really interessted in. We'll likely hear more about the games they've got lined up for their first wave.

Neowiz

Lies of P: Overture DLC is comin' this summer, and we're pumped to hear more about it. We'd also love to see what Neowiz is cookin' up next, but we understand they'll want to focus on finishin' off Lies of P so far.

Nintendo Switch 2

The Switch 2 launches on June 5, and we'll be hearin' plenty of info on the launch lineup during SGF. Expect to see details on Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and more.

Pearl Abyss

These devs are workin' on multiple projects, and DokeV may finally come outta hiding for a re-reveal. We're more immediately excited for Crimson Desert, a single-player open world medieval-style fantasy adventure that could be a real show-stealer.

PlayStation

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, are on the horizon, and we'll probably get some deep dives into the systems during a showcase. If Marathon manages to shake off its recent scandals, we could see it make an appearance. Fingers crossed for more on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and Marvel's Wolverine, too.

Sega

There's a whole lot goin' on at Sega, and a new Sonic platformer, Yakuza 9, or even Skies of Arcadia Re-Legended could be in the cards. We know the Switch 2's got Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S and Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, and we're holdin' our breath for updates on Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, Persona 5: The Phantom X, and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance.

Square Enix

We're diggin' the mystery around Kingdom Hearts 4, so here's hopin' we get a big showcase for it. Final Fantasy's not far behind with the surely-on-the-way Final Fantasy 17 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake's set to launch on October 30, so expect that to show up with some new details.

Steam

Half-Life 3, ya hear that? Nah, probably not, but we can hope. With the Steam Deck OLED proving to be a success, we might hear more about portable PC devices partnerin' with Steam to bring its OS to more devices.

Supermassive Games

Directive 2080 and Little Nightmares 3 are shapin' up to be two spooky treats, and we're hopin' to see some juicy details on both. If you thought tilin' with Tarsier Studios was scary, wait til you get a load of their new project, Reanimal.

Techland

Dying Light: The Beast is the followup to 2022's Dying Light 2, and what starts as DLC has transformed into its own thing. Kyle Crane's back, baby, and this has the zombie series goin' in a whole new direction with beast powers. Beyond this, Techland's workin' on some as-yet-unannounced projects like a fantasy game.

Xbox

The platform holder's got an Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, and we're anticipatin' significant announcements for upcoming titles like The Outer Worlds 2. We'd love to hear more about Gears of War: E-Day, State of Decay 3, Clockwork Revolution, and Perfect Dark, too.
