Anticipating Exhibits at German Museums, Duran Duran Expresses Excitement

Hey there! If you're a fan of the '80s British pop sensations, Duran Duran, here's some exciting news. The band, known for their chart-topping anthems like "The Wild Boys" and "Hungry Like the Wolf," is returning to Germany for live performances in Düsseldorf and Berlin this June.

It's been over a decade since Duran Duran, featuring bassist John Taylor (64), lead vocalist Simon Le Bon (66), keyboardist Nick Rhodes (63), and drummer Roger Taylor (65), graced German stages. "We can't wait to catch up with our German fans and explore some museums too," said John, expressing his enthusiasm.

Setting the Stage in Germany Once Again

The group will be embarking on a European tour, and this time, they'll be performing in German cities for the first time since January 2012 on their "All You Need Is Now" tour. "It feels like it's been ages! But we're thrilled to be back," John added. Interestingly, Duran Duran has never performed in Düsseldorf before. "We find that pretty odd because Düsseldorf is a cultural hotspot of the past 50 years," said John, expressing anticipation.

A mix of the Old and New

Since their last concert in Germany, Duran Duran has released three studio albums, full of fresh tracks alongside their timeless hits such as "Girls On Film," "A View to a Kill," and "Notorious." Expect to hear both the classics and some new tunes during their Düsseldorf and Berlin concerts. As John joked, "We just want to say we're still going strong, even our older songs sound great!"

Offstage Explorations: Cultural Tourism

When they're not on stage, the band members are museum enthusiasts and plan their cultural itinerary alongside their concert schedule. John revealed his top pick: "I can't wait to check out the Brücke Museum in Berlin."

While visiting Düsseldorf, make sure to drop by Mediahafen - a modern harbor area known for its breathtaking architecture and vibrant spirit. In Berlin, Museum Island, the Berlin Wall Memorial, and Brandenburg Gate are must-see attractions. These cultural landmarks promise an enriching experience for any traveler who visits the cities.

With two stunning performances lined up and a chance to explore some of Germany's most prized cultural destinations, June is set to be an unforgettable month for Duran Duran fans in Germany. Don't miss out!

  1. Duran Duran's upcoming performances in Düsseldorf and Berlin this June will offer fans a chance to enjoy both timeless hits like "Girls On Film" and "A View to a Kill" and new tracks from their recent albums.
  2. Aside from the concerts, John, a member of Duran Duran, is looking forward to visiting the Brücke Museum in Berlin during their off-stage cultural exploration while in Germany.
