Anticipated Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films Set to Debut on Netflix This Season

Kickback at Home with Netflix's Genre filled Summer Slate!

When it comes to cozying up at home and streaming the latest content, Netflix has got you covered this summer! From bloodsucking vampires to adrenaline-pumping action, they've got a wild and diverse lineup that won't leave you bored. Here are our picks for the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror titles they've got cooking:

May 23 - Fear Street: Prom Queen

Get ready for another terrifying chapter in Shadyside High, as (what you thought was) the end of the Fear Street series rolls on. Director Matt Palmer leads the charge through the '80s with India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, Chris Klein, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, and Ariana Greenblatt, along with Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston.

June 20 - KPop Demon Hunters

Who knew your K-Pop idols were battling demons behind the scenes? Sony Pictures Animation presents an animated action-comedy about three superstars with the mission to protect their fans from a group of disguised monsters. Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans are at the helm, backed by an all-star cast featuring Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Byung Hun Lee.

July 2 - The Old Guard 2

Call us crazy, but we almost forgot about this sequel! The 2020 original was a major hit, and we're stoked to see what's next for the immortal warriors. Victoria Mahoney directs the talented cast of Charlize Theron, Henry Golding, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Uma Thurman, and more. This time, the gang's still busy protecting the world, but they've got some complications to deal with, including old enemies resurfacing and the mysterious secret to eternal life. Buckle up for some serious butt-kicking action!

July 10 - Brick

The stakes aren't quite as high as saving the world, but that doesn't make Brick any less intriguing. When a mysterious wall confines an ordinary couple and their neighbors, questions abound: who's responsible, and is there any hope of escape?

August 13 - Fixed

From the mind of Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Primal) comes this hilarious adult animated comedy. A dog plans one last wild night with his buddies before being neutered, with a star-studded voice cast including Adam Devine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett, Michelle Buteau, and River Gallo.

Summer TBD - Lost in Starlight

Netflix's first-ever Korean-language animated film brings us a heartwarming love story about an astronaut and a musician, set against the backdrop of Earth and Mars.
