Anticipated roadblock incidents resulting from public protests
Protest Marches Planned Across Bavaria, Affecting Cities of Fürth and Nuremberg
From January 4 to January 12, 2024, several demonstrations organised by the Bavarian Farmers' Association, farmers, hauliers, and other sectors will take place across various regions of Bavaria. Two of these demonstrations, on January 12, will pass through the cities of Fürth and Nuremberg, causing potential disruptions.
The seventh demonstration route, starting in Langenzenn, will travel through Würzburger Str./Alte B8, Sanktustorstraße, Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, Nürnberger Straße, Raindorfer Weg, Seckendorfer Straße, Burgfarrnbach, Würzburger Straße, Billinganlage, Kapellenstraße, Ludwigbrücke, Erlanger Straße, Poppenreuther Straße, Hans-Vogel-Straße, Hans-Böckler-Straße, Brettergartenstraße, Schnieglinger Straße, Nordwestring, Maximilianstraße, Von-der TannStraße, Gustav-Adolf-Straße, Nopitschstraße, Ulmenstraße, Frankenstraße, Bayernstraße, and will end at Volksfestplatz. The meeting point for this route is in Langenzenn, on Würzburger Str./Alte B8 in the southern direction.
Another demonstration route will start north of Cadolzburg and end at Fürther Freiheit on January 12. This route will pass through various streets in the district of Fürth, including Hauptstraße, Bahnhofstraße, and Friedrichstraße.
A third demonstration route will start at Veitsbronn OMV/Bernbach Flurbereinigungsweg and also end at Fürther Freiheit, but the exact date for this route has not been specified. This route will pass through Breiter Steig, Veitsbronner Straße, Hintere Straße, Farrnbacher Bridge, Hafenstraße, Würzburger Straße, Kapellenstraße, Henri-Dunant-Straße, Königstraße, and Friedrichstraße.
The first demonstration route, on January 8, will pass through the district of Fürth, starting from the roundabout Dauchenbeck / Stein and ending at Fürther Freiheit. The fourth route will pass through the streets of Schwabacher Straße, An der Post, Bahnhofplatz, Gebhardtstraße, Gabelsberger Straße, Kirchenstraße, Nürnberger Straße, Königstraße, and Friedrichstraße.
The second demonstration route, also on January 12, will pass through the streets of St. 2409 Flurbereinigungsweg, Nürnberger Straße, Wachendorfer Straße, Cadolzburger Straße, Fürther Straße, Wachendorfer Weg, Heilstättenstraße, Breslauer Straße, Würzburger Straße, Kapellenstraße, Henri-Dunant-Straße, Königstraße, and Friedrichstraße. Both routes on January 12 will pass through the city of Fürth and end at Volksfestplatz, with the scheduled end time around 13:30.
The organizers of the demonstrations taking place on January 12 in the district of Fürth are the German Farmers' Association (Deutscher Bauernverband) and other related organizations. It is important to note that while disruptions are expected for both routes on January 12, no convoy has been registered for the return journey of either route.
On January 12, another demonstration route will start near Heilsbronn, passing through the streets of Ansbacher Straße, Schweinauer Hauptstraße, Nopitschstraße, Mittlerer Ring, Ulmenstraße, Frankenstraße, Bayernstraße, and ending at Volksfestplatz. The meeting point for Route 6 is located near Heilsbronn, east of the city area on the former B 14.
These demonstrations aim to bring attention to the concerns of farmers and related sectors in Bavaria. It is advised for residents and commuters in Fürth and Nuremberg to plan their travel accordingly and expect potential delays on these dates.
