Anticipated PC Game Releases Scheduled for May
New Game Releases for a Quieter Month
With a first look at May's game releases, it seems like the calm before the storm, not a quiet month. The lack of an endless parade of RPGs is a welcome respite, but there's still a plethora of games to keep you busy with a buddy.
Kick off the action with Among Us 3D on Steam, May 6. It's more than just a 2D betrayal of friends—Innersloth adds an extra dimension to the chaos, making it suitable for both VR and flatspace gaming, with crossplay bridging the divide.
On May 8, Revenge of the Savage Planet is out early on Steam. Prepare yourself for another co-op adventure through alien worlds, complete with housing for all your collected junk.
Labyrinth of the Demon King, launching May 13 on Steam, may seem like a throwback to the PS2 horror era, but if its brutal sounds and Silent Hill-esque aesthetic are anything to go by, it's well worth checking out.
If you're a fan of DOOM, May 15 offers a new lineup of toys, including giant mechs and a dragon. While the preview had Josh on the fence about the Panzer Dragoon aspects, the rest has him chomping at the bit for launch.
Monster Train 2 is set to drop on May 15 and is a must-play for fans of roguelike deckbuilders. Be warned, some of us even prefer it over Slay the Spire!
May 30 brings Elden Ring: Nightreign to Steam. Though some Fromsoft purists might be a bit skeptical about a co-op Elden Ring game, those of us who prefer companions to solo ventures have high hopes. Morgan's preview compared its structure to Fortnite, but by the end, even he was intrigued enough not to back out.
