Anticipated Inductees for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2025

OutKast, the innovative hip-hop duo of André 3000 and Big Boi, stand out for blending rap with funk, soul, and rock, serving as pioneers in urban music. Cyndi Lauper, a pop and new wave icon, is recognized for her distinctive voice and chart-topping hits like "Time After Time."
The White Stripes, a garage rock duo known for their raw and minimalist sound, join this esteemed list with their hit "Seven Nation Army." Soundgarden, leaders of the grunge movement, are celebrated for their distinct blend of hard rock and alternative rock, heavy on riffs.
British hard rock band Bad Company, who have delivered arena rock anthems, and rock and roll pioneer Chubby Checker, famous for popularizing "The Twist," round out the performer inductees. Joe Cocker, a blues-rock and soul singer known for his emotive covers, is also honored.
Beyond performers, the Hall of Fame has recognized Salt-N-Pepa as musical influencers, honoring their groundbreaking role in female hip-hop and rap. Warren Zevon, known for his storytelling and sharp lyricism, has also been posthumously inducted for Musical Influence.
Cracking the ranks of Musical Excellence are session musicians and producers Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye, who have contributed significantly to the sound of countless iconic recordings. Notable nominees who did not make the cut this year include The Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, New Order, the Gallagher brothers of Oasis, Phish, and Mana, who earned historical merit as the first Spanish-language band to be nominated.
The induction ceremony will take place on November 8, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and will be live-streamed on Disney+, with subsequent broadcasts on ABC and Hulu.
