Anticipated High Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2025: Outlook and Previews

Paris, France - The city of fashion is once again abuzz as the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025-26 season kicks off, with a lineup of prestigious designers showcasing their exquisite creations. Among the key designers presenting their collections are Schiaparelli, Iris Van Herpen, Georges Hobeika, Imane Ayissi, Rahul Mishra, Julie de Libran, and Giambattista Valli.

Schiaparelli, under the creative direction of Daniel Roseberry, will present a collection with pre-war references, while Iris Van Herpen, renowned for her avant-garde designs, will feature bioluminescent elements in her collection. Other designers, such as Georges Hobeika, Imane Ayissi, Rahul Mishra, Julie de Libran, and Giambattista Valli, are set to showcase their unique visions of haute couture.

Notably, Chanel will present a collection designed by the fashion studio ahead of Matthieu Blazy’s debut in October, although this is not listed in the official FHCM calendar. The week will also mark Demna's final couture show for Balenciaga before he moves to Gucci.

Other significant highlights and absences include Dior's decision to not show during Haute Couture Week this season, with Jonathan Anderson's first haute couture collection expected to debut next January for S/S 2026. Valentino is also absent from the calendar this season, as they have shifted to a once-a-year schedule for couture.

Meanwhile, Celine, primarily a ready-to-wear brand, debuted its spring 2026 collection during the week, marking Michael Rider’s debut at Celine.

In addition to the established houses, there are exciting new developments. Jonathan Anderson will reveal a new vision for his label, JW Anderson, during Haute Couture Week A/W 2025. Glenn Martens, who has had a successful tenure at Y/Project and is also creative director at Diesel, will debut his first collection for Maison Margiela during the same week.

The frisson of subversion that has long defined Anderson's work remains, as evidenced by a sweater collaboration with Berlin-based queer artist Dean Sameshima, reading 'Anonymous Trade'. As for Martens' collection for Maison Margiela, details are scarce, but expect a focus on deconstruction and a subculture-inflected lens.

Maria Grazia Chiuri's final Cruise show in Rome included a number of couture looks, which will likely be offered to clients this July in a series of private appointments. The Maison Margiela runway show is scheduled for Wednesday evening as couture week's final act.

As the fashion world eagerly awaits these presentations, one thing is certain - Paris Haute Couture Week A/W 2025 promises to be a spectacle of innovation and creativity.

Engaging in this season of Haute Couture, Schiaparelli's collection, under the direction of Daniel Roseberry, will delve into pre-war references, while JW Anderson's new vision for his label will be revealed, showcased on the social media platforms and fashion-and-beauty blogs during the Fall/Winter 2025-26 season. With Glenn Martens' debut for Maison Margiela also scheduled during the same week, the fusion of entertainment and the fashion industry is evident, as fashion enthusiasts from around the globe anticipate these transformative designs that will spotlight the evolving fashion-and-beauty landscape.
