KCB FC Bolsters Squad Ahead of New Football Season

KCB FC, one of Kenya's premier football clubs, has strengthened its roster ahead of the new football season. The team, under the leadership of the newly appointed head coach Robert Matano and assistant coach Bernard Mwalala, has made several strategic signings to bolster its midfield, defense, and attacking line.

In the midfield, Humphrey Mieno from Sofapaka, Apollo Otieno from Dodoma Jiji, Jack Okello Onganya from Sofapaka, Fortune Omoto from Kariobangi Sharks, and Richard Omondi from Leads United have been added. These signings aim to provide a solid foundation in the midfield and enhance the team's overall performance.

The team's defense has also seen a significant boost with the acquisitions of Rowland Makati from Nairobi City Stars, Fadhili Masoud from Dodoma Jiji, Josphat Andafu Mukhwana from Tusker Youth, Kenneth Wambua from Dynamo, Gideon Samuel Werre from AFC Leopards, Amatton Samunya from Ulinzi Stars, and Clyde Sinaji Navade from Nyasa Big Bullets. This mix of experienced and young players is expected to provide a strong and resilient defense.

In the attacking line, Kelvin Etemesi Injili from Nairobi City Stars and Congolese forward Tedja Wanumbi from FC Mwan have been added. These signings are expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the team's attacking strategy.

To reinforce its goalkeeping department, KCB FC has added Arnold Matumule from Rutsiro FC and Elvis Ocharo Ochieng from Nairobi City Stars. These additions aim to provide a solid foundation at the back and ensure a strong performance in goal.

Nahashon Alembi, a long-serving defender, has been appointed as the captain of KCB FC for the new season. Alembi expressed his excitement about leading the new-look squad and their determination to win the maiden league title.

With a decorated coach at the helm and a squad bolstered with experienced and young players, KCB FC enters the new campaign determined to chase its first-ever league title. The team begins its journey on Friday against Tusker at Nyayo Stadium.
