Anticipated filmmakers Jim Jarmusch and Franco Maresco lead the list of competitors in the Venice Film Festival
The 82nd Venice Film Festival is set to be a memorable event, with an impressive lineup of star-studded and auteur-driven films running from August 27 to September 6, 2025. The festival, judged by a jury led by Alexander Payne, features a strong presence of established and returning filmmakers, with a broad scope of artistic styles and genres.
One of the much-anticipated entries in the official competition is Jim Jarmusch's "Father Mother Sister Brother". This film, featuring Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver, Vicky Krieps, Tom Waits, and Charlotte Rampling, is a significant event for film enthusiasts as it marks Jarmusch's first time in competition at the Lido.
