Anticipated Cooling Following Intense Heatwave
Germany Weather Forecast for Late August 2025
Germany is set for a warm and sunny week ahead, according to meteorologist Leyser Sturm. Here's a breakdown of the forecast for the coming days.
On Thursday, temperatures will be widely above 30 degrees, with highs ranging between 30 and 38 degrees. However, overnight, it will cool down to 16 to 23 degrees in most places. In the north, high fog will occur and slowly dissipate. Isolated heat thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening, particularly in the northwest, with individual thunderstorms moving in from the west and northwest in the morning. Along the coasts with sea breezes, it will not be as hot as inland. Some places may experience tropical nights again on Thursday.
In the southwest, temperatures may slightly warm up. Elsewhere, temperatures will range from 25 to 30 degrees. In the southeast, showers and isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected.
On Friday, temperatures will be between 31 and 37 degrees. Some showers are expected in the west and northwest. Overnight, temperatures will range from 13 to 21 degrees.
The good news is that rainfall will be below normal, with about 3–5 days of rain totaling 30–50 mm. The chance of thunderstorms exists but appears limited, as the overall rain is low and the weather is dominantly sunny under persistent high pressure.
The heat wave is expected to end on Saturday, bringing a cooler and more comfortable week ahead. Stay tuned for further updates.
