Belarusians are in for an exciting weather ride as the end of September approaches, with a forecast that resembles a roller coaster more than a typical autumn. According to meteorologists, a powerful anticyclone is moving towards northwestern Europe, bringing with it a series of abnormal heatwaves and cold snaps.

On Sunday, September 21, temperatures are expected to reach highs of +22°C to +29°C across the region. The upcoming weekend and the start of the week will see temperatures ranging from +20°C to +29°C, making it the perfect time for outdoor activities. However, on Saturday, September 20, most of the territory can expect temperatures of +20°C to +26°C.

Meteorologists have warned about several days of abnormal heat, but they have not ruled out the possibility of temperature records being broken during these days. Northern winds on the eastern periphery of the anticyclone will 'pump' Arctic air into the region, which could potentially lead to a drop in temperatures.

By mid-next week, daytime highs will not exceed +10°C, signalling a significant drop from the current heatwave. The following weekend may require warm clothing due to the dropping temperatures.

On the other hand, the end of the month is predicted to bring wet snow over the north of Belarus. Minsk, the capital city, is forecasted to experience mild temperatures around 11°C at night with cloudy and dry conditions and gentle westerly winds.

Despite the detailed forecasts, specialists emphasize that predictions for such a long period are very uncertain. The forecast for September 30th in Belarus, specifically Minsk, does not specify the exact date of the first snowfall for Belarus in the given results. Typically, the first snowfall in Belarus occurs in late October or November, and no snow is forecasted for the end of September based on the available data.

In conclusion, Belarusians should prepare for a weather roller coaster ride, with a mix of heatwaves and cold snaps, and keep an eye on the forecasts for any unexpected changes.
