Get ready for a sun-soaked week as Hesse, Germany prepares for a heatwave! Although the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach predicts daytime temperatures to range from 24 to 32 degrees, the Rhine-Main region is expected to sizzle at 27 to 31 degrees. Meanwhile, the higher elevations will experience slightly cooler weather, reaching around 24 degrees. Expect sunshine and dry conditions throughout, with no rain in sight.

Already excited about Corpus Christi? You should be! While the temperatures won't be as scorching as the weekend, they'll still reach between 26 and 29 degrees in the southwest, and up to 24 degrees in the northeast.

Friday promises another day of sunshine and warmth, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 28 degrees, and up to 20 degrees in higher mountain regions. By Saturday, the heat will be on with temperatures soaring to 28 to 32 degrees!

Keep in mind that the Rhine-Main region could experience even hotter temperatures, potentially reaching up to 36°C during the weekend, as reported by the DWD. However, these blistering temperatures will subside by Monday, with highs around 27°C across much of Hesse. Northern areas like Hamburg and Bremen will be cooler, hovering around 21°C, but Hesse is expected to stay comparatively warm.

Localized weather in towns like Homberg (Efze), Hesse might show partly cloudy to overcast skies with temperatures ranging from about 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F) over the next few days, with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms on Sunday evening. The overall forecast indicates a period of dry conditions during the heatwave, with very low probabilities of rain. However, some rain and intermittent sunshine could be expected on Monday, providing relief from the heat. The month as a whole in areas like Haiger and Lauterbach in Hesse is described as mild with a moist climate, indicating some rain events throughout June.

The German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach is the primary authority reporting these forecasts. For more localized and specific town data, glance at sources like PredictWind and other meteorological platforms reporting details from towns within Hesse.

The Commission has also been consulted on the draft directive regarding the heatwave approaching Hesse, as the potential increase in temperatures may impact infrastructure and daily life.
