Kyiv
Residents of Kyiv can expect moderate rain with thunderstorms during the day on August 22, accompanied by significant rains in some areas, hail, and gusty winds up to 15-20 m/s. Temperatures are expected to hover around 21-23°C. On August 21, variable cloudiness and dry weather prevailed, with temperatures reaching 27-29°C.
Lviv Region
In the Lviv region, August 21 will bring variable cloudiness, short-term rains, thunderstorms during the day, and fog at night and in the morning. Temperatures will range from 10-15°C at night to 20-25°C during the day.
Western, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia Regions
On July 28, cloudy weather with heavy rain and thunderstorms was expected in these regions, with daytime temperatures around 23-28°C and night 14-19°C. On August 21, short-term rains and thunderstorms were predicted in some western and Zhytomyr areas, with daytime temperatures 25-30°C and night 13-18°C.
Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions
Variable cloudiness with moderate rain and thunderstorms is forecast in the northern, central, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. Day temperatures are expected to range from about 27 to 34°C, with some heat up to 35-38°C in southern parts.
Other Regions in Central and Southern Ukraine
Hot dry weather was expected in these regions on July 28, with daytime highs reaching 29-38°C, depending on the region, with mostly dry conditions.
Wind
Predominantly southwesterly or westerly winds at 5-12 m/s, occasionally gusting to 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms and squalls, have been predicted.
Regional Differences
For the next few days, August 13-16, the forecast for Ukraine predicts no precipitation. In Kyiv, the nighttime temperature is expected to range from 14-16°C, while the daytime temperature will be 25-27°C.
