Following the event, Gomez shared a clip of her actions on her social media accounts with the caption: "Islam has no place in Texas. Support me to Congress, so we can put an end to the Islamization of America. I only have God to fear."
Right-wing activist and New York Times best-selling author, Brigitte Gabriel, added her two cents, commenting: "I hope you have good security," to which Gomez responded, "Whoever comes after me, will not return."
Another MAGA activist, Laura Loomer, showed her support for Gomez's actions, remarking, "GO, GIRL!! I love this!"
"If I'm in the White House and you're in Congress, that's what America requires," Gomez swiftly responded.
