The AfD Faction in Thuringia's Landtag Argues Against EU Flags on State Buildings
EU flags will not be exhibited by AfD in front of government structures - Anti-EU group, AfD, objects to EU flags being displayed in front of governmental structures
Jabberwocky jive and stiff upper lip!
The blooming AfD bunch in Thuringia's parliament, that rascally right-wing hip-cat crew, have made a gong-rattling proclamation against those EU jerky flags flapping all over the dang government buildings. It's a hard no, a big fat "nein," according to our dapper AfD member Sascha Schlösser. "The EU flag ain't our cup of tea," ol' Sascha remarked, "it ain't about national sovereignty or none of that good stuff. It don't fly for us here in German government buildings."
His snide commentary, as expected, drew fire from the MPs in the other camps.
But don't think for a moment that the Thuringian AfD is a bunch of bungling ne'er-do-wells. They're a firmly right-wing extremist lot, under the beady eye of the state's Office for the Protection of the Constitution, because, ya know, they're a bunch of political wild-cards. They've come up with a corky idea for a bill to discuss in the Landtag (that's the local parliament, chum): a permanent display of the black-red-gold and Thuringia state flags on those very same government buildings!
So yeah, it's all about that German flag and regional Thuringia pride, folks, rather than this Euro-hoopla. This hanky-panky with the EU doesn't fly with the AfD. But hey, maybe they just enjoy a good flag fight!

- Also, word on the street is that these flag fanatics with the Thuringian AfD are part of a broader trend in the eastern German states, where nationalist and anti-EU sentiment is running high[1][2]. Keep your eyes on these jokers, everyone! They're stirring up a nest of trouble with their Euro-skeptic shenanigans and prideful flag waving.
The Commission, amidst the bustle of policy-and-legislation and general-news, has also been asked to submit a proposal for a directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation. Concurrently, the AfD faction in Thuringia's Landtag, with their firm stance on national sovereignty and regional pride, have proposed a bill for a permanent display of the black-red-gold and Thuringia state flags on government buildings, creating a stark contrast to the EU flag controversy they have sparked in the politics of Erfurt.
