Annual sports event hosted by the Kuwait-based Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Association in 2025
The AMU Old Boys' Association (AMUOBA) Kuwait successfully organised the Annual Sports Meet 2025 on the 4th and 5th of September. The event, meticulously planned and executed under the leadership of President Mr. Aslam Parvez, was a grand success due to the active participation of all members.
The first day of the event was held at the Sports Academy, Abu Halifa (Elazz Playing Yard). Football matches and races were the main attractions, with alumni and their families actively participating. The day ended on a high note with a dinner provided by Khan Star Restaurant, which was enjoyed by all participants.
On the second day, the venue was shifted to Ismash Academy. The day was filled with exciting competitions such as badminton, carrom, and chess. The event was supported by sponsors including Al Mulla Exchange, Al-Bandoukia Gen. Trad. & Cont. Co., KDD, and KITCO. Food stalls offered refreshments such as juices, water, chips, ice cream, tea, lassi, snacks, and dinner to keep the energy levels high.
AMUOBA expressed gratitude to the Advisory Committee, volunteers, referees, and photographers for their valuable contributions. Medals, certificates, and trophies were awarded on the spot to winners and runners-up. A special rolling trophy was presented to the champion and runner-up football teams.
President Aslam Parvez thanked all members for their active participation in the event. Certificates of appreciation were presented to sponsor representatives by AMUOBA President, Mr. Aslam Parvez.
The Executive Committee of AMUOBA involved in organizing the Annual Sports Meet 2025 included Ms. Shazia Mansoor (GS), Mr. M. Khurshid Anwar (JS), Mr. Shahid Ali, Mr. Tauqir Ahmad, Mr. Shahnawaz Siddiqui, Mr. Masood Alam, Mr. Asim Khan, Mr. Yousuf Abdullah (OSD), Ms. Talat Fatma (Dy. OSD), and Mr. Maqsood Habib Khan, along with VP Mr. Tariq Waseem, who oversaw logistics. Mr. Adil Sareer served as the main coordinator for the event.
Seniors cheered from the sidelines and added to the festive spirit. The Annual Sports Meet 2025 was a memorable event, bringing together alumni and their families in a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
