Yes, the iconic progressive rock band, is set to reissue their 2011 album Fly From Here: Return Trip on November 28, 2023. The reissue, launched during Yes' fiftieth anniversary tour, will be released through Cherry Red Records.
The new version of the album includes several exciting additions. It features the full version of Hour Of Need, a previously unreleased track, and Don't Take No For An Answer, another previously unreleased song. The album's voice was taken over by Benoît David.
Trevor Horn, who produced the original album and is a member of the Yes line-up from 1980's Drama, provides the vocals for the album. Guitarist Steve Howe expressed enthusiasm about the original Drama lineup playing Fly From Here and several other songs Trevor Horn had a significant role in writing.
The reissue will be available on double vinyl, Blu-ray, and CD. The Blu-ray edition offers multiple audio options, including the new Atmos Mix by renowned producer Richard Whittaker, 5.1 Surround, Stereo, Atmos Instrumental, 5.1 Instrumental, Stereo Instrumental, and Original Stereo Mix.
The new version of Fly From Here: Return Trip was produced by Richard Whittaker, with Trevor Horn taking on the role of executive producer. Trevor Horn stated that finishing off the album was a labour of love.
The album consists of 12 tracks, including Overture, Pt I - We Can Fly, Pt II - Sad Night at The Airfield, Pt III - Madman at The Screens, Pt IV - Bumpy Ride, Pt V - We Can Fly Reprise, The Man You Always Wanted Me to Be, Life on a Film Set, Solitaire, Hour of Need, Don't Take No for an Answer, and Into the Storm.
