Hamann, who was mentioned as a Sky Sport Bundesliga expert during the 2025 season media roundtable, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. As a former Bundesliga star, he has played a total of 323 professional games in the Bundesliga and second division.

The "Friday Night Lights" will feature a team of experts and moderators, with Hamann discussing the evening's game, the upcoming matchday, and news from the previous week. Britta Hofmann, Katharina Kleinfeldt, Mara Mones, or Nele Ocik will serve as moderators for the show.
