Animated Series Launches for Superhero Canine Character Krypto
The world of DC Studios' Superman has expanded with the release of the four-part animated shorts series, "Krypto Saves the Day!". The first episode, titled "School Bus Scuffle", premiered on August 13, 2025, and is now available for viewing online via Fandango.
Written and directed by Ryan Kramer, known for his work on "Looney Tunes Cartoons", "School Bus Scuffle" introduces Krypto, Superman's canine companion, in a series of comedic heroic adventures. The subsequent episodes – "Halloween Havoc", "Package Pandemonium", and "Coastal Catastrophe" – are set to roll out individually throughout 2026, although the exact release dates within the year have yet to be announced.
The series, produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios, is based on James Gunn's dog, Ozu, and the animated Krypto maintains the same mannerisms and signature ear that Ozu inspired.
Meanwhile, fans of Superman can also look forward to a physical release of the movie on September 23. For those unable to wait, the movie is available for digital purchase from August 15.
