Animal welfare organization recruits popular TikTok personality for their campaign
In an exciting development, TikTok influencer Malte Zierden has been announced as the face of an upcoming nationwide awareness campaign for animal welfare in livestock farming. The campaign, focusing on the dairy industry, is set to run in the first half of 2026 and is commissioned by a non-profit animal rights organization, yet to be publicly identified.
Malte Zierden, known for his videos showcasing his daily life as an animal protector and his rescue missions, received the German Animal Welfare Award in the 'Voice of the Animals' category in 2024. He is also the author of the Spiegel Nr.1 bestseller 'The Saddest Sky on Earth'. With a significant following of 1.4 million on TikTok and over 1 million on Instagram, Zierden's influence is expected to play a crucial role in the campaign.
The campaign, estimated to be worth half a million euros, will include spectacular live actions, out-of-home advertising, videos, and social media activities. WeCreate, the organization preparing the campaign, plans to decide on the agencies involved in October, with the selection and implementation for the campaign beginning from December or January.
It's important to note that the German Animal Welfare Association is not the commissioner of the campaign, nor is it mentioned as a participating organization in the current information available.
