Angry fans of fantasy sports prepare to rally outside the office of the New York Attorney General

In the heart of the Financial District, a group called 'Fantasy Sports for All' has scheduled a picketing protest against New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. The protest, set for Friday morning, aims to voice opposition to the ongoing investigation into daily fantasy sports sites DraftKings and FanDuel.

The investigation, initiated last month, was sparked by concerns over unregulated gambling. A DraftKings employee's significant win of $350,000 from a $25 entry on FanDuel raised questions about the nature of these sites' winnings, with some arguing they are based on chance rather than skill.

However, both companies have contended that their winnings are based on skill, thus making them immune to gambling regulation. They argue that their services are a testament to the strategic prowess of their users, not a game of chance.

Despite the controversy, it remains unclear how many people have RSVP'd for the protest rally. The group's Eventbrite page has called upon supporters to make their voices heard, but the organizers could not be reached for comment.

The protest will take place around 8 a.m., outside Attorney General Schneiderman's office. His office issued a cease-and-desist order to both sites on Tuesday, but a spokesman declined to comment about the upcoming protest.

Search results yield no information about the size of the planned demonstration. As the day approaches, it remains to be seen how many will rally in support of the daily fantasy sports industry.
