Andy Samberg's antagonistic canine foe, Frisbee owned by Seth Meyers, ultimately triumphs with a victorious jest
In a heartfelt post, late-night talk show host Seth Meyers announced the passing of his beloved dog, Frisbee, at the age of 14. The news came with a twist, as it coincided with the birthday of Frisbee's long-time nemesis, comedian Andy Samberg.
The beef between Samberg and Frisbee was well-known and often resulted in roasting on Meyers' show. Frisbee, it seemed, was not a fan of Samberg either, according to her owner. The pair's animosity was so storied that it even had the internet rooting for Frisbee, giving her the last laugh in her beef with Samberg.
Remember when Samberg hired a cleaning crew due to a barf incident caused by a Christmas card featuring Frisbee? Or when Samberg used strong, derogatory terms to describe Frisbee, such as "nightmare-inducing hell-spawn" and "rat-foreskin hybrid"? These incidents only added fuel to the fire, with the internet joking about Frisbee's ghost continuing to torment Samberg.
Meyers' post was a reminder of the history between Frisbee and Samberg. He wrote, "Frisbee and Andy Samberg did not get along. In fact, Frisbee hated Andy Samberg. And Andy Samberg, well, he had some choice words for Frisbee too."
Despite their differences, Frisbee will be remembered for her playful spirit and her special bond with Meyers. Her passing has left a void in the late-night television landscape, but her memory will live on, especially in the stories shared about her feud with Samberg.
Rest in peace, Frisbee. You certainly left a lasting impression.
