Swedish Musician Andreas Catjar-Danielsson Remembered with Charity Release
Andreas Catjar-Danielsson, a renowned Swedish musician known for his work with the electronic band Covenant, has left an indelible mark on the Swedish music scene. Catjar-Danielsson, who passed away on July 29, 2023, after a long struggle with cancer, contributed significantly to Covenant's albums Leaving Babylon (2013) and The Blinding Dark (2016) with his skills on keyboards and guitars.
Beyond his work with Covenant, Catjar-Danielsson composed music for theaters and produced for the band Abu Nein. His legacy continues to live on through these musical works and the charitable release dedicated to his memory, the "Andreas EP". This EP, a collaboration between Covenant and Catjar-Danielsson, is set to be released on limited edition black vinyl under Dependent Records on October 17, 2025. All proceeds from the EP will go to support his widow and children.

During Catjar-Danielsson's time with the band, the lineup included Eskil Simonsson (vocals, electronics) and Joakim Montelius (electronics).
As a tribute to Catjar-Danielsson, Covenant announced the "Andreas EP", featuring five songs. The EP was co-recorded and mixed by Catjar-Danielsson alongside Eskil Simonsson.
Catjar-Danielsson also worked with Abu Nein, with the band releasing music that included his participation shortly after his passing, further marking his significant artistic influence beyond Covenant.
