Andrea Kimi Antonelli claimed victory in a thrilling 68-lap race. The young driver dominated from the start, securing both the win and the fastest lap of the day. Behind him, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen rounded out the podium in a tightly contested event.

The race kicked off with mixed tyre strategies. Some teams opted for intermediate tyres, while others chose slicks. McLaren’s drivers struggled early after starting on intermediates, losing positions as conditions favoured dry-weather rubber.

Antonelli wasted no time, overtaking his teammate George Russell for the lead in the opening laps. His pace remained unmatched, and he went on to set the fastest lap of the race. Drama unfolded mid-race when Nico Hülkenberg spun in Turn 1, briefly disrupting the flow. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc had a close call, narrowly avoiding contact with the infamous 'Wall of Champions'. Ayum Hadjar, despite a stop-and-go penalty, managed to recover and finish fifth.

Antonelli’s win marks a standout performance, reinforcing his reputation as a rising star. Hamilton’s second-place finish for Ferrari and Verstappen’s third for Red Bull highlight the competitive nature of the race. The varying tyre strategies and on-track incidents added to the excitement of an eventful afternoon.
