Andre Iguodala Stepped into Permanent Role as NBPA Chief After a Three-Month Period
Andre Iguodala, the former NBA player, made a significant shift in his career in February 2024 when he was appointed as the full-time executive director of the NBPA. Iguodala's salary is set by the union's player reps and was $2.8 million in the fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30, 2024. He received $2.09 million of his salary in gross salary in the same fiscal year.
Prior to his appointment, Iguodala replaced Tamika Tremaglio as executive director following her dismissal from the NBPA. Tremaglio has since joined the Secretariat after her dismissal from the NBPA.
Iguodala is also involved in various business ventures outside of the NBPA. He is a minority owner in Bay FC, Leeds United, and the TGL franchise in San Francisco, investing alongside other NBA players. Additionally, he co-founded and is the managing partner of Mosaic, a $200 million venture capital firm. Iguodala has been an active investor, including venture and early-stage investments in Coinbase, Allbirds, Zoom, DataDog, and Dapper Labs.
Under Iguodala's tenure, Michelle Crenshaw, Cameron Jones, Morgan Cato, and Jacinda Ortiz are among the union leaders who have joined the NBPA.
