Andre Berto dares Floyd Mayweather to a bare-knuckle or dirty boxing rematch

Andre Berto is pushing for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather—but this time under different rules. A decade after their one-sided bout in 2015, Berto now wants to face Mayweather in either bare-knuckle boxing or the newly formed Dirty Boxing Championship. The 40-year-old fighter last competed in December 2023, losing to Robert Guerrero in a comeback attempt.

Berto and Mayweather first met in September 2015, with the undefeated star dominating the contest. The judges’ scorecards reflected Mayweather’s control: 120-108, 118-110, and 117-111. Berto has since suggested that Mayweather’s advantage lies in traditional boxing and believes a change of format could level the playing field.

A potential rematch would mark Mayweather’s first foray into hybrid or bare-knuckle competition. Berto’s call-out sets up a clash that could test Mayweather’s adaptability outside traditional boxing. The outcome may hinge on whether the 47-year-old legend accepts the challenge—and which rule set they choose.
