Wanna vote for the greatest toys of all time? You'd probably pick classics like yo-yo, toy cars, or video games. Timeless treasures like jacks, playing cards, and board games like Chess, Monopoly, and Uno have been the source of limitless entertainment for generations. With countless toys worthy of entry, the National Toy Hall of Fame has been recognizing the toys that leave a lasting impact since 1998.

Based at The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, the Toy Hall of Fame aims to honor toys cherished for generations. Each year, a jury and public votes determine which toys join the esteemed list. The inaugural induction in 1998 included 11 icons, such as the teddy bear, crayons, Frisbee, Etch-a-Sketch, Barbies, Play-Doh, marbles, and LEGO.

Each year, a panel and public decide which toys deserve a spot in the Hall. In 2023, notable inductees included Cabbage Patch Kids, baseball cards, and NERF toys, with 2024's finalists including Transformers, My Little Pony, and Phase 10. These three toys from the 80s have since secured a place among over 80 entered toys.
