Anakin Skywalker Engaged in Combat with Boba Fett?

Bustin' moves and blasters in a never-seen rematch:

Ever thought you'd witness Boba Fett tangling with a young Anakin Skywalker, way before the Sith dude got all dark and stuff? Well, hold onto your helmets, 'cause it happened, and it was all part of a hidden gem from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Showcased at this year's Star Wars Celebration Japan, the long-lost scene pieced together a wild dogfight through the bustling city of Coruscant[1][3][4].

The scene originally belonged to an episode series that would've introduced Cad Bane, training young Boba Fett post-Jango. According to the show's co-creator and now Lucasfilm chief creative officer, Dave Filoni, the idea was a twisty one - Jango Fett was Boba's "good" dad, but after he kicks the bucket, Cad emerged as his "bad" mentor.

The clip opens with Cad Bane watching from afar as Boba Fett swoops through Coruscant, with Anakin Skywalker hot on his tail. Anakin's cruising on a speeder bike, blasting away at the bounty hunter. But Boba ducks, weaves, and even sends flames up Anakin's tailpipe, slowing him down. Just when Anakin takes the bait, Boba takes him out, skyjacking his bike.

The pair engage in a sweaty, high-stakes duel. Boba uses his handy-dandy harpoon to trip up Anakin, keeping the Jedi on his back foot. Anakin retaliates with his lightsaber, parrying Boba's blaster shots. In a cliffhanger, it looks like Boba's about to bite the dust, but he pulls a fast one, blasting off neatly[6].

Back on the ground, Anakin checks on Boba, only to find he's vanished like smoke. Mace Windu hops on a hologram call and lets Anakin know he's been hurt, but he'll survive. Anakin reports he missed the assassins, but one was a bounty hunter - an unknown one[5].

So, did this go down in the official lore? Probably not, since it never actually saw the light of day. But it was an exhilarating action spectacle, setting up a future alliance between two unlikely allies who'd go on to trap a certain smuggler in carbonite[2].
