Anaheim Ducks reassign goaltender Ville Husso to San Diego Gulls

The Anaheim Ducks have reassigned goaltender Ville Husso to their AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls. The move follows Petr Mrazek’s return from Injured Reserve, adjusting the team’s roster for the remainder of the 2025–26 season.

Husso began the season with San Diego after being acquired from Detroit. In his first stint with the Gulls, he recorded a 6-4-3 record and three shutouts. His early form earned him a call-up to Anaheim, where he appeared in nine NHL games.

The reassignment sends Husso back to the Gulls, where he has already found success this season. With Mrazek now available, Anaheim’s goaltending options have shifted for the time being. Husso remains under contract with the Ducks, ensuring his role in the organisation’s future plans.
