Ana de la Reguera signs with Buchwald amid expanding creative empire
De la Reguera is widely recognized for creating, writing, showrunning, and starring in the Prime Video comedy series Ana, which is loosely based on her life. The bilingual series, which ran for three seasons, follows an aging actress trying to find her place in the world and in Hollywood as she nears her 40s.
Her recent screen credits include Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead and Army of the Dead: Las Vegas for Netflix as Maria Cruz, Netflix's Ojitos de Huevo, Pixar's Elio, and Doce Lunas, which she starred in and executive produced, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2025. Additional notable film credits include Nacho Libre opposite Jack Black, Cop Out, Cowboys & Aliens, and Everything, Everything.
She has also been a consistent presence in some of the highest-grossing Mexican films of the last few years, including Una Pequeña Confusión, which she co-starred in and produced; Netflix's ¡Que viva México!; and Un Hombre Por Semana, which she also co-directed and starred in.
Her television work also includes a lead role in Prime Video's Goliath as Marisol Silva opposite Billy Bob Thornton, as well as appearances in Showtime's Twin Peaks, Netflix's Narcos, the hit Starz crime drama Power as Alicia Jimenez, HBO's Eastbound & Down, NBC's The Blacklist, Peacock's limited series Leopard Skin opposite Carla Gugino, and Capadocia for HBO Latin America.
On stage, De la Reguera has performed in award-winning theatrical productions in Mexico. She is also a prominent brand partner in the U.S. Hispanic market, having served as the face of Colgate Renewal and a long-standing voice for AT&T, and has collaborated with global luxury brands including Hublot, Fendi, and Bulgari. In 2026, she joined the L'Oréal family.
