In theongoing turmoil of the Middle East, a grave incident occurred in Gaza. Amidst the chaos, Christian families in Gaza have been seeking refuge in churches since conflict erupted.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, two women, described as a mother and daughter, was tragically taken away in an IDF sniper attack, according to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. As they made their way to a Nonnenkloster, one was shot, with the other attempting to safeguard her, resulted in her demise as well.

Seven more individuals were also injured in the brutal attack, as bullets rained down with no warning or prior notice.

The Latin Patriarchate, in an official statement, claimed, "The cold-blooded assassinations occurred within the church community, devoid of any warring factions." The powerful IDF tanks even targeted the Mother Teresa Kloster, a sanctuary for 54 disabled individuals, destroying its only power source, generator. Additionally, fuel reserves, solar panels, and water tanks were damaged.

The Patriarchate also mentioned that IDF rockets rendered the gathering uninhabitable.

CNN reached out to the Israeli Defence Forces for comments, but as the situation remains volatile, no official statement has been made.

Leila Moran, a British Political Representative from Oxford West and Abingdon, spoke out about her family's harrowing ordeal. They sought refuge in a church, resulting in an environment of extreme distress and anxiety as the turmoil intensified. Unfortunately, one family member who sought refuge in the church passed away. Moreover, Moran reported that the church's generator ceased functioning.

Her family alleged witnessing white phosphorus and gunfire in their garden. The refuse collector and the caretaker were also killed, their bodies still languishing outside, unclaimed.

Unfortunately, CNN could not independently verify the conditions in and around the church or the allegations of unlawful use of incendiary munitions.
