Amy Hunt secures a surprising 200m silver medal triumph at the World Athletics Championships, causing a sense of awe and delight.

In an unexpected turn of events at the World Athletics Championships, Amy Hunt, a 23-year-old athlete from Team GB, clinched a shock silver medal in the women's 200 metres.

Hunt, who is through to Sunday's 5,000m final, finished the race in an impressive time of 22.14 seconds. She crossed the line behind the United States' Melissa Jefferson-Wooden and four hundredths of a second faster than Jamaican bronze medallist Shericka Jackson.

Hunt's recent success can be attributed to her full-time training under Marco Airale in Italy. She currently resides in a "gorgeous" Padua pad in Italy, where she has been improving her results significantly since starting her training there.

The journey to the silver medal was a "massive roller-coaster" for Hunt, as she revealed she ran a few races "with the shingles". However, she trusted herself throughout and visualized winning the race before it happened. She believes that anything is possible if one truly believes in oneself.

Hunt's victory is incredibly surreal to her, especially considering she had to fight back from a complete tendon rupture three years ago to claim the medal. On the start line of the 200 metres final, Hunt thought of her late grandfather, who was a significant inspiration in her life.

Defending world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson sits third after the opening day of the heptathlon. Meanwhile, Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson booked her place in Sunday's final.

In the men's 200m final, Noah Lyles defended his title for the third time, securing yet another victory. Zharnel Hughes finished fifth in the same event.

Hunt's mantra, "You can be an academic badass and a track goddess," encapsulates her journey and serves as an inspiration to many. Her victory shows that one can truly achieve anything if they believe in themselves.
