Amway Teams Up With dLocal to Streamline Latin America's Online Payments

Amway has partnered with dLocal to simplify online payments across Latin America, focusing on countries like Colombia. This collaboration aims to enhance customer transactions and boost Amway's regional growth, given the prevalence of alternative payment methods in the area. With over half of online purchases using alternative methods, Amway's move helps adapt to local preferences, such as online payments and cash vouchers in Colombia.

dLocal's platform offers a single solution for Amway, handling local acquiring, currency processing, and regional payment options like PSE bank transfers and Efecty cash vouchers in Colombia. This improves authorization rates and speeds up settlements, providing a smoother experience for customers. Carolina Vásquez, Customer Service Manager at Amway Latin America, praised dLocal's platform for its stability, user-friendliness, and reliability.

dLocal supports Amway with local payment processing, competitive pricing, and on-the-ground assistance, all managed through one platform. Agustin Botta, Head of EMEA at dLocal, noted that local payment complexities often hinder expansion in the region. This partnership helps Amway build a scalable strategy for growth, with plans to replicate the model in other markets like Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.

The collaboration between Amway and dLocal tackles common payment challenges in Latin America, such as low card usage and high cross-border costs. By offering locally optimized solutions, the partnership aims to improve approval rates and support Amway's expansion. Further rollouts in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile are expected to strengthen payment accessibility for the company's distributors.
