The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is set to return in 2023, inviting every Indian household to hoist the national flag and share their Tiranga selfie online during August 13-15. This annual initiative, launched under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in 2022, aims to unite citizens and foster a stronger sense of patriotism.

By participating in the campaign and sharing your participation on the official campaign portal, you can become a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Ambassador and earn digital badges and certificates from the Ministry of Culture.

To become an Ambassador or Volunteer, follow these steps:

  1. Participate during the period around Independence Day (generally August 13–15).
  2. Visit the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal.
  3. Register by filling the Volunteer Registration Form with your details.
  4. Engage by uploading selfies, promoting flag hoisting in your community, sharing stories, and completing volunteer assignments from early August onwards.

In previous years, volunteers have helped households hoist the flag according to the Flag Code of India, distributed flags, encouraged selfie uploads, and shared stories about the Tiranga. Volunteers who complete tasks receive official recognition, and top-performing ambassadors are honoured at state and national events.

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign has become a symbol of national pride, transcending regional, cultural, and linguistic differences. It has deepened the connection between Indians and their national flag, turning flag hoisting into a unifying act of respect for the nation.

Leading figures such as Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, have participated in the campaign and encouraged others to do the same.

As Amit Shah stated, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 'Har Ghar Tiranga' has become a mass campaign that binds the country in a thread of unity. Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed that the national flag represents the pride, honor, and identity of the country.

This year marks the fourth edition of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, which was first published on August 13, 2025, at 05:52 IST. Join the celebration of India's identity and heritage by becoming a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Ambassador or Volunteer in 2023.
