Amit Shah Promotes Swadeshi Values, Launches Rural Bus Service, Empowers Women in Chhattisgarh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been advocating for swadeshi values and promoting local enterprise across India. He recently inaugurated a rural bus service in Chhattisgarh and digitally transferred funds to women beneficiaries, all while encouraging economic growth through indigenous products.

Shah's visit to Chhattisgarh coincided with the Bastar Dussehra festival, where he inaugurated a rural bus service connecting 250 villages in Bastar and Sarguja divisions. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to improve connectivity and facilitate economic growth in rural areas.

During his visit, Shah also digitally transferred Rs 606 crore to over 65 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, empowering them with financial resources.

Shah used the platform of the Bastar Dussehra festival to appeal to villagers to encourage Maoists to surrender and contribute to the state's development. He urged the public to adopt swadeshi values and products, stating that promoting indigenous goods is a strategic economic imperative.

The 'Swadeshi Mela' in Jagdalpur showcased products from around 300 companies, highlighting the potential of local enterprise. Shah's appeal for swadeshi values aligns with the government's efforts to boost India's economic growth by reducing taxes on 395 items, with many essential goods now taxed at just 5 per cent.

Shah's visit to Chhattisgarh underscored the government's commitment to rural development and empowerment. By inaugurating the rural bus service, digitally transferring funds to women, and advocating for swadeshi values, Shah has set the stage for further economic growth and self-reliance in the state and across the country.
